01 / Why now

Why now?

Grading turned a card into a verifiable certificate. Custody made it safe to hand over. On-chain markets gave it price discovery. And the biggest rails in crypto are already racing in — for the first time, a static collectible can become a living asset.

WHAT TCA IS

TCA is a launchpad that brings graded physical cards on-chain: each card theme becomes one slot, and each slot issues one token.

$1,000 Hard cap

Card pledge ceiling per theme. First come, first served — anything over is returned.

$100K Soft cap

Token sale ceiling. Once filled, the token launches and can trade.

40/20/20/20 Fee split

Treasury / platform / staker share / buyback and burn.

~5% To pledgers

Of the theme token supply, split equally, unlocked daily over 30 days.

Why now

Not because of hype. Four things are true at the same time.

  • 01

    Grading is standardized

PSA, BGS, and CGC give a card a public, verifiable grade. A graded card is a certificate of asset quality — the precondition for tokenizing it.

  • 02

    Custody is mature

Collectible-finance networks like Renaiss provide custody and pricing. Cards can join on-chain economics without leaving the vault.

  • 03

    Price discovery is ready

A static collectible’s core problem is thin liquidity. A theme token gives every theme a continuous quote, not only a price at the next sale.

  • 04

    The majors are moving in

Large venues are already racing into on-chain trading cards. TCA is a launchpad built for that moment: one theme, one slot, one token.

01

Theme slots

One theme, one slot, one token. The launchpad frame is open to read as a prototype. Slots are not live yet.

02

From pledge to lottery

A theme runs through seven steps. Thresholds and timing that are not in this draft are not filled in with made-up numbers.

  1. 01

    Pledge

One or more people pledge graded cards of that theme. The pool has a hard cap of about $1,000, first come, first served. Anything over the cap is returned — for example, $1,400 pledged counts only the first $1,000. The platform may join a new pool for about 10–30%, but it does not fill the pool alone. People whose pledges count toward the cap split about 5% of that theme token’s supply equally. Each person’s share then unlocks daily to their address over 30 days. Example: five people each get about 1%, then ÷30 is the daily amount; one person who fills the cap alone receives about 5% on that 30-day daily unlock. Pledgers are not necessarily the controllers of the theme token. Grade and custody connect to Renaiss on-chain custody.

  2. 02

    Launch

One theme, one token. The sale fills toward the soft cap of about $100,000. Once that cap is reached, the token launches and can trade. The launchpad itself stays the platform.

  3. 03

    Buy protection

During filling, how fast the pool fills chooses the instantly sellable share. A fast fill uses the progress track. A slow fill uses the time track. The locked remainder unlocks evenly across about 10 days, a portion each day. Example: if 10% is instantly sellable, the remaining 90% releases at about 9% of the purchase total per day for about 10 days. Once the soft cap launches, this rule lapses. The bands are in the protection section.

  4. 04

    Four fee buckets

Fees on each trade go 40% treasury, 20% platform, 20% staker share, and 20% buyback and burn. A theme token’s total fee is a fixed 2.5%. TCA is 10% until about $1M of cumulative volume, then 5% until about $10M, then 2.5%. After any step-down the buckets stay 40/20/20/20.

  5. 05

    Buy cards on Renaiss

The platform executes the 40% treasury by the rules: buy graded cards of that theme on Renaiss, and buy back the platform token TCA.

  6. 06

    Return the pledge

The threshold and timing are still open. The formal text may require the unlock to finish before the return. Pledgers who counted are paid back under the formal rules.

  7. 07

    Treasury lottery

Opened per theme treasury. Eligibility is in the next section. The intent is a reveal about every 24 hours. This page does not sell tickets or draw winners.

03

Four fee buckets

Trade fees split 40 / 20 / 20 / 20. The four shares add up to 100%.

  • 40%

    Treasury

The platform executes this by the rules: buy graded cards of that theme, and buy back the platform token TCA. The split between those two is not fixed in this draft.

  • 20%

    Platform

Runs the launchpad. It stays with the platform.

  • 20%

    Staker share

Goes to pledgers whose pledges counted toward the cap.

  • 20%

    Buyback and burn

Buys back and burns the token that this trade is for.

A theme token’s total fee is a fixed 2.5%. TCA, the platform token, is 10% until cumulative volume is about $1M, then 5% until about $10M, then 2.5%. After any step-down, the four buckets stay 40 / 20 / 20 / 20: Treasury, Platform, Staker share, and Buyback and burn.

TCA is both the name of the launchpad and, in this draft, the platform token the treasury can buy back. The platform executes the 40% treasury by the rules.

04

Soft cap and quota release

Soft cap of about $100,000. The instantly sellable share is chosen by how fast the pool fills. The locked remainder unlocks evenly across about 10 days, a portion each day.

Time track · slow fill

  • Within about 1 hour10%
  • Within about 2 hours20%
  • After about 3 hours30%

Progress track · fast fill

  • About ≤ 35%10%
  • About 35–70%20%
  • About > 70%30%

A fast fill uses the progress track. A slow fill uses the time track. The locked remainder unlocks evenly across about 10 days, a portion each day. Example: if 10% is instantly sellable, the remaining 90% releases at about 9% of the purchase total per day for about 10 days. When the soft cap is reached, the token launches and this rule lapses.

05

Lottery (eligibility draft)

The lottery is not open. It is a holder perk: eligibility comes from holding, not from buying tickets.

  • ≥ 10

    Renaiss SBTs

An SBT is a non-transferable token, checked on the theme’s own page. How the count is taken follows the formal release.

  • And

    Hold the matching token

Both conditions must hold together. The amount to hold is still open.

  • 24h

    Reveal cadence

The intent is a reveal about every 24 hours. The prize pool can track trading volume. The amount is not fixed in this draft.

How to follow

For now the page points to X only — @tapecards. It does not connect a wallet, check holdings, or take entries.

Draft: after the Renaiss integration is settled, login may switch to or also support Renaiss accounts. Their site mostly uses their own accounts. The exact change waits on that result.

06

Partnership · Renaiss

Renaiss is building a Collectible Finance Network for real-world collectibles. Treasury card buying targets graded theme cards on Renaiss. Grade and custody connect there. Lottery eligibility reads Renaiss SBTs. The partnership is written into the mechanism draft. What actually runs follows the formal release.

07

Council · decisions

A Council exists to decide whether something should happen. Not everyone can join. Seats are screened from the community and added only after an internal human review.

  • Seats

Tentatively 12, screened from the community with human review — not an open “meet the bar and you’re in”.

  • Votes on

Buybacks, burns, and which theme or series to support, including what launches next and how treasury funds are used.

  • No vote on

Day-to-day card buying to restock, which follows the set strategy.

  • Proposals

Trading fees fund the treasury. Buyback-and-burn proposals are raised only while fees keep coming in. If a proposal fails or is not carried out, that round does not happen.

  • Themes

Each theme token can also have its own community council for direction and community matters, voted by its pledgers and holders.

08

Risk

Theme tokens can go to zero. Graded physical cards also move with the market. Liquidity, custody, rule changes, and technical failures can all cause losses. The rates, soft cap, unlock timing, and lottery eligibility above are drafts. The formal release can change them or drop them. Treasury card buying points at graded theme cards on Renaiss. Whether cards are bought, which ones, and how many depends on the formal rules and on what is actually carried out.
